Research Scientist
Research Operations
Dr. Beydoun is a Research Scientist within the Environment Group at HARC. He works primarily with the Texas Joint Center for Air Quality (JCAQ) and the Transportation and Air Quality Forum (TAQF). His research and professional interests include: environmental planning and policy, vehicle emissions, urban air pollution and transportation planning, land use and growth management, energy planning, and 3-D visualization.
Dr. Beydoun holds a Ph.D. in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University, a Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) from Florida Atlantic University, and a B.A. from the University of Florida. He has specializations in environmental, transportation, energy, and developing countries planning.
Dr. Beydoun is also a member of the Urban Planning and Environmental Policy faculty at Texas Southern University where he primarily teaches courses on environmental monitoring and analysis, land use and environmental law, and pollution control. Dr. Beydoun has previously worked at the University of Iowa, The Ohio State University, the University of Miami, and the Planning Division of the Columbus Department of Trade & Development.
