Lisa Gonzalez is a Research Scientist with the Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC). Lisa is responsible for supervision of projects relating to the sustainable management of water and biological resources. Her work focuses on the analysis and dissemination of environmental data relating to the health and productivity of coastal ecosystems, particularly the Galveston Bay Ecosystem. Recent projects include the Galveston Bay Status and Trends Project, the Galveston Bay Invasive Plant Field Guide, the Galveston Bay Ecological Indicators Project, and the Galveston Bay Invasive Species Risk Assessment.

Lisa joined HARC in 2002 after working as a Research Associate for the Environmental Institute of Houston (EIH) at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. Lisa earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Management from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2000. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Fisheries from Texas A&M University at Galveston in 1992.Â
