Umamaheswar Krishnan started at HARC as a research scientist in November 2009. Krishnan will support the Department of Energy’s Clean Energy initiative in providing project support services, policy change, education and outreach with regards to cogeneration, district energy and waste heat recovery. Previously, he worked as a Project Manager at Nexant, Inc and as a research assistant at Energy Systems Laboratory, College Station, Texas. He has considerable experience with regards to demand side management, utilities’ energy efficiency programs, project support, program design and administration, market potential studies, deemed savings calculations and measurement & verification. Krishnan received his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Allahabad University in India and his M.E. in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a Certified Energy Manager, Certified Demand Side Manager and a LEED Accredited Professional.
