Krishnan Umamaheswar supports the Department of Energy’s Clean Energy initiative by providing project support services, policy change, education and outreach with regards to combined heat and power, district energy and waste heat recovery. He is also responsible for the technical review of applications submitted to the City of Houston’s Energy Efficiency Incentive Program. Previously, he worked as a Project Manager at Nexant, Inc and as a research assistant at Energy Systems Laboratory, College Station, Texas. He has considerable experience with regards to demand side management, utilities’ energy efficiency programs, project support, energy audits, LEED buildings, program design and administration, market potential studies, deemed savings calculations and measurement & verification. Krishnan received his B.E. in Mechanical Engineering from Allahabad University in India and his M.E. in mechanical engineering from Texas A&M University. He is a Certified Energy Manager, Certified Demand Side Manager, Distributed Generation Certified Professional and a LEED Accredited Professional.
