Fuel Cell Bus Travels to Hydrogen Workshop
The fuel cell bus housed at the University of Texas at Austin left Wednesday morning, December 2nd for a HARC workshop in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. The Hydrogen 101 Workshop provides state and local leaders basic information on hydrogen and fuel cell technologies.Â
The bus, which also operates as a plug-in hybrid, is part of U.S. efforts to validate and improve hydrogen vehicles and fueling infrastructure. Texas produces more hydrogen than any other state, enough to fuel an estimated 2.1 million light duty vehicles, and various applications are underway at several Texas locations. HARC has conducted similar workshops in San Antonio and Houston. The workshops are supported by the U.S. Department of Energy, and HARC is partnered with the Texas H2 Coalition. HARC is an independent not-for-profit research organization based in The Woodlands, Texas. For further information, contact H2101@harc.edu.
