Part of the Environmentally Friendly Drilling Systems Program
HARC is working with Texas A&M University on a Environmentally Friendly Drilling Systems program to reduce the environmental impact of oil and gas exploration and development activities. As part of the program, a student competition concerning logistics, entitled the Disappearing Roads Competition, has been established.
Submission of Phase I documents are due on October 12, 2007. Teams selected to proceed to Phase II will be awarded $2,000 to help cover expenses. The top teams will split $45,000 in prize money that will be awarded in June 2008 at an event where the teams will present their designs.
