HARC is serving as the management organization for a major research initiative in Texas on ground-level ozone. The purpose of this initiative, called the Texas Environmental Research Consortium (TERC), is to improve science and atmospheric modeling essential to support air quality decisions in Texas. HARC's role is to engage scientists from universities, public research organizations, and private companies to conduct independent research. Research projects will be selected in coordination with the Texas Commission on Environment Quality (TCEQ) and a Science Advisory Committee organized for this purpose.
