Elevate environmental and health knowledge in the general public to improve and protect the health, safety and general welfare of the Houston Galveston region and its citizens.

Current Progress and the Planning, Organizational and Program Development
Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC) has funded staff time for initial phases and the State Energy Conservation Office has provided a planning grant that was used to launch the development process.
Two very successful public educational events have been conducted and the feedback has been very positive.
The Greater Houston Builders Association has made tremendous strides in creating a green building program. There is every reason to believe that in early 2005 such a program will exist.
