Rives Taylor & Terri Kurtin The advisory board for Cultivate Green serves the important function of assisting HARC to feel the heartbeat of the community on green issues. The board is an all volunteer and represents a broad spectrum of Houston's diverse communities. The board meets quarterly to provide advice and counsel on knowledge transfer opportunities and venues.

LaVerne Williams, AIA, LEED® AP, is the founder of Environment Associates, Architects & Consultants, a leading proponent and practitioner of green design at the residential level for more than thirty years, has helped found several non-profit organizations concerning sustainable living in Texas.

Dana Easley, MA, is the founder of Second Nature Landscape Design, a leading proponent of community sustainability issues and the original Cultivate Green program manager.

Rives Taylor, AIA LEED® AP, is the holder of the Kirksey Chair in Sustainable Design at the University of Houston School of Architecture, and teaches at Rice University and was recently recognized as the best architect in Houston by the Houston Press.

Susan Dally, PE (inactive), is a retired engineer and the owner/builder of a high performance residence. Susan has been interested in energy conservation and environmental issues for many years.

Linda Paisley, is the founder of Paisley Designs, a leading green consulting practice team and avid master gardener. She was a critical component of the University of Texas team responsible for the School of Nursing building.

Dana Easley Richard Haut, Ph. D. is the group leader of the Sustainable Technologies Group at HARC, the Chairman of the Greater Houston Area Chapter of the US Green Building Council, and the member of the Greater Houston Builder Association Green sub-committee.

Michael Myers is the Senior Project Manager for Lockheed Martin and is nationally known for his expertise on energy efficiency and green building practices. Mike has served as a regional DOE executive, and has led the green building movement in Texas.

Brian Binash, is the President of Willshire Homes, Chair of the Green Building Sub-Committee of the Greater Houston Builders Association, and a director of both the GHBA and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), where he serves on the Energy and Green Building Sub-Committees.

Brian K. Yeoman, M.A., Senior Research Scientist-Green Buildings a division of Sustainable Technologies, and program leader for the Cultivate Green initiative. A local sustainability resource for many years, the former vision keeper for the University of Texas- Houston and the SONSCC and a leading practitioner of The Natural Step.

John Ferguson, M.S., P.G. is the founder of Nature's Way Resources a environmental company focusing on solving many environmental problems by recycling organic waste into compost, mulch and soil products. John did his graduate work in physics and geology and is a licensed soil scientist. He serves on the Houston Galveston Area Council (HGAC) and the Ft. Bend County solid waste committee representing the compost industry. He is a member of many professional societies, has won numerous environmental education awards, and is a leading educator on environmental issues.
