To maintain neutrality and scientific objectivity, fuel cell system and hydrogen production equipment manufacturers may not sponsor the test and evaluation under the Supplemental Projects. However, the test and evaluation activities benefits manufacturers in the following four ways:
- HARC will purchase the fuel cell system and/or hydrogen production equipment
- HARC will allow the manufacturer to review evaluations and reports pertaining to their system prior to publication
- HARC will provide all evaluations and reports to the supplier free of charge
- HARC will invite the manufacturer to participate in Sponsor meetings where data on their products is presented.
Note that items 2 and 3 require the manufacturer to sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to receiving confidential reports.
