Based on program funding, HARC does post internship opportunities particularly for the summer months. The internship opportunities are posted on the HARC jobs page. Please continue to check this page in the future for developments to the HARC Internship and Scholars Programs.
HARC Internship Program
Internships at HARC may be available during the course of the year. HARC strives to develop meaningful internship experiences for undergraduate and graduate students. HARC has provided paid and unpaid internships. Availability of internships is dependent on current projects and funding. HARC paid internship positions are posted on the HARC jobs page. To inquire about an unpaid internship, please email your interest including a resume and transcript to lburchfield@harc.edu.
HARC Scholars Program
The HARC Scholars Program supports collaborative research, analysis, and design projects on solutions to problems of urbanization, society, and the environment. Urban Futures is a program designed to broaden awareness, participation, and creativity related to the design of more sustainable urban environments.
Urban Futures invites students from many disciplines to apply their expertise to sustainability science and education in the context of designing opportunities to create better futures for people and nature. Within this context, special areas of interest include HARC's research themes: ecosystems, water, air and climate, clean energy, the built environment, and environmental health. In particular, HARC seeks to involve more students from groups that are historically under-represented in the sciences, including Black or African-American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Hispanic or Latino, and female students.
