Amy Webb-Cabrera is a Research Scientist at the Houston Advanced Research Center (HARC). Before joining the organization in 2010, Amy was a Senior Community Liaison for the City of Houston Planning and Development Department where she managed grants and programs for the city’s urban core revitalization initiatives. At HARC, Amy works on issues related to building more sustainable communities in the Houston-Galveston region. Amy has a Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington with a focus in international development policy. Her graduate research focused on the impact of state policies on community and environmental health and on sustainable agriculture in rural East Africa. Prior to earning her masters degree, Amy spent seven years as a process engineer in the power industry. As an engineer, she also studied the environmental impacts of chemical weapons demilitarization processes and co-authored two white papers on the subject. She received her B.S. in Engineering Science from Trinity University in 2000.
